Mission & History

USSCO Federal Credit Union opened our first office on Central Avenue in the Moxham section of Johnstown in 1958 to serve the employees — and family members — of United States Steel Corporation’s Johnstown Plant.

Since then, we’ve grown and prospered despite U.S. Steel closing the Moxham plant in the early 1980s.

We're now one of the largest credit unions in Somerset and Cambria Counties with four conveniently located community offices: Richland/Administration, Moxham, Somerset, and Ebensburg.
